The town of Villa Pehuenia is located in Aluminé department, Neuquén province, Argentina Republic, South America. 
The same one was created institutionally newly in the year 1989 but it was an area inhabited by mapuches communities from a lot of time before. 
For the whole area you will wonder of characteristic pehuén (araucania araucana), autochthonous tree whose seed has a high nutritive value and is used as food in diverse preparations. Pehuén gives the name to Villa Pehuenia.
